ShaliCem EWP AR is ready to use two component anti-root waterproofing coating based
on graded cement, in combination with selected admixtures, synthetic resins and
polymers. ShaliCem EWP AR is highly recommended for terrace waterproofing, roof
garden and planters.

Application Methodology
• Ensure that structure is sound and free from dirt, soil, oil release agents, laitance and any
other foreign materials which may impair the bond, penetration and/ or the overall
performance of ShaliCem EWP AR.
• Chemically remove any efflorescence, form oil, mould etc.
• Repair any cracks, honeycombed pockets or holes by Shalimar Dam-It or PlastiSeal.
• Ensure to dampen walls for an hour before application and keep damp allowing
moisture to soak in. Wet dense concrete at least twice, not less than 30 minutes
apart. Surface must be damp during application. Do not allow standing water.
• Prime the area with slurry by mixing one part of ShaliCrete E with two parts of neat
cement i.e. in the ratio 1 : 2.
• Add Component B into a suitable container containing and thereupon, add
Component A slowly whilst mixing thoroughly mix it preferably in a Jiffy Mixer.
• Crush any globules formed to make uniform paste and continue mixing.
• Apply ShaliCem EWP AR on clean and dampen surface with stiff fibre brush. Scrub
well into the damp wall filling all pores and finish with final stroke in one direction.
Keep a wet edge.
• Apply second coat when the first coat is touch dry.
• Allow to dry for 24 hr before moist curing. Do not apply water through a hose or
pressurized nozzle.

ShaliMark® is a hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint. It is a petroleum resin based
thermoplastic material, which offers superior weathering resistance and colour stability. The
pre-mix and drop-on glass beads ensure long lasting retro-reflectivity. ShaliMark® is easy to
melt and can be applied on both asphalt and concrete surface. It has excellent wear resistance
to ensure long life of the marking.

Application methodology
• Remove dust, flakes, lime, distempers, oil / grease or other foreign particles by jet or dry
air and clean the surface. Minimize dusting of the material during use.
• Ensure that surface is sound, firm, bone dry.
• Apply ShaliPrime SM in case of concrete roads.
• Add one bag of ShaliMark in pre-heater and allow it to melt.
• Keep on adding ShaliMark one bag at a time and allow it to melt before adding another
bag, depending upon the capacity of pre-heater.
• Do not allow temperature to rise beyond 210 OC. Ideally melt ShaliMark® between 180 –
210 OC.
• Offload the hot melted ShaliMark® in application unit and keep on stirring it with in-built
stirrer of application unit.
• Mark reference line on surface with nylon rope and chalk prior to application.
• Apply melted ShaliMark® within the reference lines by the application unit.
• Type II Drop – On glass beads (BS 6088) shall be dispensed from the in-built dispenser
of application unit @ 250- 300 grm/m2 simultaneously.
• Finish lines shall be true to level, uniform and free from streaks.

Health Safety
• Minimize dusting of ShaliMark® during use.

Application Methodology
· Surface must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil and painting compound.
· Concrete surface must be dry and stable (atleast) four weeks.
· Check that mastic is compatible with surface in terms of adhesiveness, staining and chemical
compatibility (test a section first).
· If necessary apply a thin layer of Sealant Primer on the surface.
· After the primer has dried press flexible non adhesive filler on to the groove.
· The joint filler should be free of holes to ensure that bubbles do not form in the joint. For better
finish use protection strip.
· For a narrow joint apply the mastic in one movement and for very wide joint, apply the mastic in
three places: The first two on the edges of the joint and third in the joint filler.
· Smooth out with soapy water. Press the mastic against the edges and the joint while taking care
not to create air bubbles. Remove protection strip.
Cleaning Maintenance
Clean the equipment with solvent like Xylene, Toluene. Polymerized mastic can be scrapped off.
