SHALICURE: Acrylic Curing and Sealing Compounds

  • Shalicure is a liquid, membrane forming curing and sealing compound for concrete. It protects new concrete and reduces crazing, spalling and flaking on the surface. This is also available in the modified form of aluminised Shalicocure to give a better curing effect with better water retention capability.


SHALICURE PA: Wax based Concrete Curing compound

  • ShaliCure PA is a liquid, membrane forming curing compound for concrete. It protects new concrete and reduces crazing, spalling and flaking on the surface. It is a non-flammable paraffin – emulsion


SHALI SUPER REZ-SEAL: Acrylic Curing and Sealing compound

  • Shali Super Rez-Seal is a high solids co-polymer that cures concrete and provides a protective coating for interior and exterior concrete including terrazzo surfaces. It bonds tenaciously to concrete forming an inert, impervious film that is resistant to the alkali from fresh cement, salts and many construction stains. It impregnates the top surface of a floor, making it highly resistant to the penetration of dirt and staining materials.
  • Shali Super Rez-Seal complies to ASTM C 309 Types 1 & 1D, Class B.

  • ShaliFlex PU is single component Polyurethane elastomer, Classification elastomer 1er category elastomeric sealant.
  • Expansion Joints specially suitable for runway groups and building industry. Our company is offering a wide range of Anchor Grouts , which is a two-component system. The thyrotrophic nature of STP Anchor grout polyester resin grout reduces the flow out of the hole. These are used in v Permanent installation of reinforcement starter bars.

Polysulphide Sealant

ShaliSeal PS is based on liquid polysulphide polymers which adhere to most of basic civil engineering materials like cementitious substrates, aluminium, glass, wood, mild steel etc. The product is used for sealing expansion joints, door, window surrounding joints & floor concrete to wall masonary separation joints etc. After mixing the base component & curing agent in given proportion rubber like material in pourable consistency is formed.

Areas of Application:
  • For expansion joints in Industrial, commercial or residential buildings. Mainly used for sealing horizontal joints.
  • Joints in concrete roads bridges, subways, flyovers & airport runway.
  • Concrete cracks repairs in slab.
  • Joints in water retaining structures like water tank, swimming pool, aqueducts, dams, canals & reservoirs.
  • Atomic nuclear power station reactors domes.
  • Joints between pipe lines.
  • Roof light joints.

Standards:
  • BS 5212, Part II, ASTM C 920/1987

Application Methodology:
  • The surface should be fully dry, clean and free from dust, laitance, oil and grease etc. Clean with sand paper & wire brush, then dust and foreign particles to be removed. Subsequently use masking tape at floor level beside both side to get sharp edged neat and clean joint. Avoid adhesion of spillover material beside the joint. Use of primer is optional, it ensures strong bonding between substrate and sealant. Sealant application should start after 30 minutes but not later than 2 hours after priming the surface.

Mixing:
  • The Base and Accelerator compounds are packed in pre-weighed quantity as per the mixing ratio. Mix the material of individual container. Transfer entire quantity of Accelerator to the base compound and mix it thoroughly to a uniform and homogenous grey colour. Mixing can be done manually with spatula/palette knife or special flat stirrer attached to a low speed electric mixer less than 500 r.p.m.

Finishing and Cleaning:
  • Finish the joint in concave shape by using wooden batten soaked in soap water or white sprit from time to time. Remove masking tape within 30 minutes before setting of sealant. Clean tools and tackles using solvent.

Packaging:
  • ShaliSeal PS Pouring Grade comes in 4 Kg packs. Higher packaging can be done as per customer’s requirement.

Polyurethane Coating - ShaliUrethane
This is a two component, air drying aliphatic polyurethane based paint having highly Volatile solvent used generally for surfaces where excellent abrasion resistance is required. It has glossy finish and is designed to be used as a finish coat in epoxy or polyurethane system. It has good resistance to water and saline atmosphere.

Usage:
  • Widely used as top coat on metals in petrochemical, transportation, refinery fertilizer industries etc

Application Methodology:
Apply By:
Brush, conventional or airless spray. Suitable compatible thinner to be used to get the desired workability. Volume of thinner generally required varies from 5 – 25 % depending upon the method of application i.e. brush, conventional spray or airless spray.

Surface Preparation:
The surface should have coat of epoxy /polyurethane or any other suitable paint which would act as undercoat and should be blast cleaned to a minimum of SA 2½ Swedish Profile to free from dust, dirt, etc. In case of aged coated surface, the surface to be roughened suitably to receive the finish paint

Mixing:
Base and hardener should be stirred separately. If settling is observed in the base, loosen the settled material with the help of hand stirrer followed by power driven stirrer for quick homogeneous mixing. Mix hardener gradually into the base under continuous stirring

Storage Life: Up to 12 months as long as the sealed containers are kept under cover in dry place under normal temperature

Sealant Polyurethane - ShaliFlex PU

Advantages:

  • Single component, ready to use.
  • Good adhesion to many substrates.
  • Good weathering and ageing properties.
  • Excellent workability, easy to use. Can be over painted.

Application Methodology
Preparation of Surface:
  • Surface must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil and painting compound.
  • Concrete surface must be dry and stable for (at least) four weeks. Users must check that the sealant is compatible with surface in terms of adhesiveness, staining and chemical compatibility.

Making the Joint:
  • If necessary, apply a thin layer of PU Primer on the surface. After the Primer has dried press flexible non adhesive filler on the groove. The joint filler should be free of holes to ensure that bubbles do not form in the joint. For better finish use protection strip.
  • For a narrow joint apply the sealant in one movement. For very wide joint apply the sealant in three places: The first two on the edges of the joint and third in the joint filler. Smooth out with soapy water. Press the sealant against the edges and the joint and joint filler while taking care not to create air bubbles. Remove protection strip.
  • Clean the equipment with solvent like Xylene, Toluene. Polymerised sealant can be scrapped off.
  • May be painted after polymerisation is complete. Use acrylic or vinyl dispersion paints after testing a section.

Waterproofing Chemicals

STP No.1: Liquid & Powder Waterproofing Plasticizing Admixture

  • STP No.1 when used as an admixture, it forms an internal barrier against water penetration. STP No.1 also increases the plasticity of mortar that reduces water absorption and thereby guards against freeze-thaw damage.
  • It is available in both powdered form without chlorides and also in a liquid formula which contains additives for additional densification and acceleration of the mortar or concrete. STP No. 1 will not increase the air content of mortar or concrete.


ShaliMar Acrylic Waterproofing Coat: Acrylic Polymer Modified Waterproofing

  • ShaliMar Acrylic Waterproofing Coat is a two component heavy duty Acrylic co-polymer based waterproofing coating. It prevents water infiltration, dampness & chloride attack. It is vapour permeable & allows the concrete to breathe.


SILICONE WATERPELLER (WB): Colorless Water Repellent Surface Treatment

  • Silicone Waterpeller (WB) is water based liquid compound, which penetrates the pores of treated materials and provides a durable, invisible, and highly effective water-repellent film. Silicone Waterpeller (WB) generally dries tack-free in two to four hours. It protects masonry surfaces from moisture absorption, dirt and dust. It helps in keeping the plaster waterproof and resists the growth of fungus on it.

  • SHALICRYL – 215 (V) is a unique elastomeric coating based on a revolutionary acrylic polymer with  capabilities to resist premature moisture attack. SHALICRYL – 215 (V) provides durability, low temperature flexibility, excellent resistance to weathering and dirt pick-up. Because of a unique UV cross-link curing mechanism, SHALICRYL – 215 (V) becomes more durable with age. The best part is that it is very easy to apply and is non-polluting.

SHALIDECK SL: Self –levelling Epoxy Floor Topping

  • Shalideck SL is a three component pigmented epoxy floor topping which is laid at a thickness of 0.5 mm to 2 mm. Shalideck SL is joint less, monolithic, smooth, non-porous, hygienic, and chemically resistant and is easy to maintain. This is available in different colors and has enough strength to withstand industrial traffic with nylon / rubber wheels.


SHALISCREED: Trowel Applied Chemical & Abrasion Resistant Epoxy Screed

  • Shaliscreed is a 3 component abrasion resistant flooring laid with the help of steel trowel, to a thickness of 3 to 5 mm. Shaliscreed is extremely tough, durable, slip resistant and is ideally suited for areas subjected to high impact, high abrasion, forklift movement and areas exposed to chemicals and oil spillage. Shaliscreed provides excellent bond to concrete surfaces and can be incorporated in the design of new floors or as an overlay to existing floors to protect it against impact and corrosive effect of chemicals.


SHALISCREED SL - AS: Epoxy Self-levelling Antistatic Flooring System.

  • Shaliscreed SL-AS is a multi layer system compromising of Antistatic Primer, Shaliscreed SL AS Base Coat and Shaliscreed SL AS Top Coat. The Total system gives a thickness of 3 – 4 mm with Antistatic properties.

  • Shalipoxy-FC is a high build epoxy coating for walls, floors of concrete & metal structures. It has good resistance to abrasion and makes the floor surface dust free. The cured surface is hard and gives smooth finish. It restricts the bacterial growth and can easily be cleaned.


SHALISCREED SL (Pigmented): Epoxy Self leveling Screed Flooring

  • Shaliscreed SL (P) is an epoxy self leveling screed flooring material for use where exceptional strength and toughness is needed and also on places where the flooring has to have leveled surface. It is a three component epoxy system with graded aggregates. Shaliscreed SL (P) has excellent adhesion and provides good abrasion resistance on floors with heavy duty traffic.


SHALIPOXY - LB: Solvent based low build Epoxy Wall Coating

  • Shalipoxy-LB is a solvent based coating for vertical application on walls & steel structures. The cured surface is hard and gives smooth finish. It is joint-less and hence will put a stop to the bacterial growth. It has resistance to abrasion and can easily be cleaned.


SHALICEM FLOOR : Cementitious Epoxy Self leveling Flooring

  • Shalicem Floor is a self leveling epoxy-cement composite underlayment flooring material for use where exceptional strength and toughness is needed and where the flooring has to be laid on damp surface. It is a three component water based epoxy system with selected cementitious components. Shalicem Floor has excellent adhesion and provides good abrasion resistance on floors.


SHALIOL PU: Aliphatic Polyurethane Top Coat

  • Shaliol PU is a two component, liquid aliphatic polyurethane based surface tolerant coating. It is an ideal high solid protective coating specifically for UV and weather resistant. It is also a decorative finish coat with high abrasion and chemical resistance.

For higher grade of concrete used for railway sleepers, shell forms, precast elements, girders, foundations and slip forms structures.

Gives high workability, increases strength without increasing of cement content. Conforms to ASTM C 494 type A & F IS 9103.

Dosage 0.4% to 2% by weight of cement.
Synthetic Air (Air Entraining Admixture for zero Slump Concrete) 200 Ltr Mass placement, precast shapes, spun pipes and concrete roads.

Will entrain 4-7% air in concrete. Gives stable air vold system. Conforms to ASTM C 260.

Dosage 0.2 to 0.4% by weight of cement.
Air Mix 200 (Air Entraining Agent for Concrete) 20 Ltr 200 Ltr Mass concrete, precast shapes, spun pipes and concrete roads.

Produces 3-6% air in zero slum concrete. Increase placeability. Gives stable air vold system. Confirms to AASHTO M-154 & ASTM C-260.

Dosage 100-300 ml per bag of cement.
ShaliCon 537 20 kg 200 kg

Mass concrete, precast shapes, spun pipes and marine structures.

Superplasticizer & set retarder. Increase workability & strength without increase in cement content. Prevents cold joints where delays of up to 2 hrs or more may occur between subsequent pours. Conforms to ASTM C 494 types G IS-9103.

Dosage 0.4 to 2.5%
ShaliCon Retarder (Set Retarding Admixture) 20 Ltr 200 Ltr

Cold joints, where concrete lead time is large in high rise buildings, chimneys, pipes, off shore constructions and pile structures.

Superplasticiser & set retarding plasticisers. ShaliCon Retarder is based on Sodium ligno sulphonates. Retards initial setting time & extends workability. Prevents cold joints where delays of 2 hrs or more may occur between subsequent pours. Conforms to ASTM C 494 type B Admixture & IS-9103.

Dosage 0.2 to 1.5%
